We have one of those Dr. Suess backpacks that you get when you sign up for some book club for kids, it seems like everyone has one. The boys have a fascination for it and Eli has been using it the past couple of days to haul his “Cars” cars from McDonald’s in.
If it’s something Eli wants, Noah wants it too and Eli was out with Tim. So Noah picked it up and was having trouble getting it on so he comes to me and says, “I need some help with this book packer.”
He helped me clear off the whole table, since he was wearing his “book packer.” He had to go through the entry hall and there are two mirrors in there for him to pass by, so each time he would carry something to the kitchen he would watch himself wear the “book packer” as he walked by.
Then when it was time for bed, he didn’t want to go and I said, “Every good book packer listens to their mom and has first time obedience.” He marched himself right upstairs, wearing his “book packer” of course.
Who knew the powers of a “book packer”?

I love it! My mom tells a story of when I was a kid and wore "flip flops." I would always look over my shoulder at them when I walked. I was facinated because they made noise. Needless to say, I ran into a lot of stuff!
