Thanksgiving-Day 2

I'm thankful for my Mom. I'm thankful she's around to help me be a mother and to see her grandsons grow up.

She was in a car accident 12 years ago and she's lucky to have survived, much less be as capable as she is today. While she is considered disabled, she is still very active in my life and her grandchildren's lives.

I'm thankful she wants to come and spend time with us and help me out. She remembers what it's like to have little children and how overwhelming it can be before they are big enough to be much help around the house.

I'm thankful she's willing to do the jobs I put off, and will tackle my list without complaining, allowing me to spend a few precious moments with the middle boys who can get overlooked between the baby nursing and the oldest's homework if I'm not careful.

She knows how hard I try to be a good Mom and is constantly encouraging me. And I need that.

I'm thankful for my Mama.

To see what other people are thankful for today head over to Don't Give Him Crackers! and then join in the carnival. We've all got something to be thankful for!

Hopefully my children will grow up to post something similar one day (minus the accident part).
