Brotherly Love

I got out the umbrella stroller over the fourth of July weekend so I'd have somewhere to sit Jesse while we were all outside sitting in lawnchairs. It conforms enough to his body that he doesn't really topple over like in other chairs. Plus I didn't have to have him on my shoulder with his death grip on my hair-he's perfected his hair grip. It really worked out for everyone.

Especially Simon. He just loves Jesse to pieces and wanted to push him in the stroller. I let him but watched him pretty close. I should have known better. He's a second mother. He pushed Jesse for hours and Jesse didn't make a peep, just loved it.

If you tried to move the stroller or otherwise get within several inches of the stroller, Simon would come running back, "I'll push him, I'll push him!" and off they'd go again.

Simon would stop and reach over the top to pet Jesse's head and then continue on with their adventure. He would also stop, put on the brake, and go around front and say, "Ah, he spit up a little bit!" Then proceed to take the burp cloth and wipe Jesse's face.

He even asked Tim's mom and I if we wanted to pet Jesse, but we needed "to do it real easy, like this" and showed us how. I'm thinking if he can learn how to change diapers I might have to start paying him for babysitting.
