Photo Shoot

Ever since we've moved to our house I take a picture of all the boys each year on New Years Day (give or take) in front of the fireplace in the Library so I can see how they've grown. I try to do it when someone is there to help me get all the boys looking at the camera and not making goofy faces. This year it just kept not working out so I did it one night by myself. Here's how it went.
Not bad, but Jesse's not looking at the camera and Eli's a little?

Now he's looking at the camera, but not standing up. Jesse changed positions and I thought maybe we had it but Eli was blinking, and Simon?
This is the best one so far, but I thought I'd snap a few more just to make sure there's one that's fit for the frame on my desk.

Well, that's not a keeper! Then I realized the frame I want the picture in is an "up and down" frame. Drat! Let's do some of those.
Not quite what I was thinking.

A nice one of Noah napping. Here's where I tell them if they stand still, smile nice and let me take a good picture of them I'll let them have a sucker.
Happy faces, but among other things, I cut Eli off.

That's a wrap! It'll work. Everyone shouted Yay! and then, "Can we have our suckers now?"

Happy 2010!

P.S. I love my stairstep boys!

I love it! My favorite is the one with Jesse and the ball--there's a mystery daughter in that photo! :)

They make a perfect diagonal!!
