Sneaky

I was reviewing a book with Eli for a test the next day right before bed so I had Tim put the little boys in their beds. They were a little riled up, talking and playing. While they should have been quiet, it is nice they are really starting to play together-just like we had hoped.

After I finished with Eli I went in to kiss the little boys and Simon was playing with a stuffed animal that played a song. Jesse either was not in his bed or was completely covered up with covers (not unlikely). I whispered to Simon, "Is Jesse already asleep?"

"Yeah, I've been trying to get him to sleep using this music."

"Oh, well thanks, it must have worked." I leaned over and kissed him and he's got the biggest smile on his cute little face.

I turned to Jesse's bed, found the top of the comforter and pulled it down so I could kiss him and he could at least have fresh air. As I pulled it down I got to his eyes and two very bright blue eyes were shining up at me. I pulled it off his face and he had his impish grin flashing.

I busted out laughing and so did Jesse and Simon. They worked together to "trick" me into thinking Jesse was sleeping. Jesse was holding perfectly still while I was talking to Simon. I didn't know that was even possible! Those boys! They are growing up, turning into boys.

Surprise! Two-year-olds can be as still as mice. Both of them being in their big-boy beds...it is true. They are bigger now, and Better!
