Hot Dog

I was putting Simon to bed the other night and when I came back downstairs both of the "big" boys were sitting in the living room in front of the stove (it was still a cold day) just gabbing away. (Which I so cherish, by the way.)

Tim says, "Hey, I got something for your blog." I laughed because he sort of makes fun of me having a blog, so I didn't think he was serious.

Then he peeks into the living room to make sure the boys are still there and I realize he is serious. He says, "Eli and Noah were talking and Eli said, 'Noah, what if you were a hot dog and I ate you? Wouldn't that be so funny?!' Then he busted out laughing."

What makes a child's mind think of that?

Good blog fodder, I'm glad Tim is recognizing it for me!

You've got a good thing when the husband saves up a story like that for you.

So funny - your boys sound like a hoot!

blog fodder...what an author to come up with this terminology.
