This is not an announcement!

This is not an announcement and in no way should be construed as one. It's just a funny story about my boys and my body.

I got a new pair of jeans about a month ago and they are low rise, and it turns out I love them. I was wearing them the other day and after naptime we were reading some books so we were lounged on the couch. As Noah climbs up to lay next to me he puts his hand on my belly. Since he's pushing down I harden my stomach so I'm not so squished. Then Noah says, "Look, you're growing a baby in there and it just moved!" As he laughs and laughs. Then I start to laugh. He feels my belly again and says, "It's moving, I can feel it! There is is again!" By this time we're all laughing and I start to tickle him and ask him if that's the baby in his belly moving.

At bedtime Simon says, "It's like you have a baby in your belly, but you don't, right?"

"Right, no baby in my belly. But see, I did grow four babies in my belly and my belly got this big," motioning with my arms, "and it stretched all the skin out and now it's just floppy skin."

Eli is interested at this point and says, "Well why don't you just lose some weight?"

"I don't need to lose any weight. See look." I show them my belly. "See all of the stretch marks? Where the skin was stretched? And now it just won't go back to the way it was. You know, like when you stretch out a balloon? I used to have a belly like yours, but it got stretched and now it's just floppy skin, there's not fat in there, just skin."

Eli is pondering it and says, "Well, why don't you....get bigger?"

"You mean get fat to fill it up?"

"Yeah, and then lose the fat and it'll be gone."

"But I did that, I lost all the weight and now all that's left is just floppy skin."

"Oh."

Blast these low rise jeans where my "floppy skin" is more visible! Now I need to start doing crunches!

Boys are quite funny!

Not to change the focus off your belly, but I was wonder how your toe was doing and if you are still running on the treadmill?
