Jesse's three!

My little guy is three.  It shouldn't come as a surprise, he's been telling us all that he's three since before Christmas.  Wants to grow up fast, that one! 

Birthdays are such a good time to reflect on the passage of time.  It seems like Jesse has been with us forever, and I can't imagine life without him.  I remember so vividly how my heart hurt and missed him before I knew for sure there would be a fourth baby for us, and as soon as he was born there was utter contentment that we were all here, our family was complete. 

Three is such an exciting age!  The potty training is done, the vocabulary, comprehension, and reasoning are really beefing up and it's delightful to talk to a three year old.  Or better yet, overhearing their own play conversations with themselves.  Priceless!

Here he is with his elephant cake, happy as can be and relishing that everyone is singing to him.

This boy will give me a run for my money as we raise him; he already has.  I guess that's why he's last-finally have enough parenting experience!  I look forward to raising this little guy and the joy he will continue to bring to our lives.  I love him so much!
